POINT OF VIEW
CONCEPT
Jean-Marie Minazio, niçois artist, proposes the metamorphosis of the urban landscape of the Quai des pêcheurs and the Quai H. Rambaud in Antibes. The artist plans on taking possession of the walls, the arches more precisely, with an hyperrealistic installation composed of 35 visuals (4*3meters each). This installation consists in digital printings on canvas, fixated on aluminum frames (a preparatory file will be given to " Bâtiments de France ", informing them of the technic details of the installment).
Soaring Off
For many years, J.M. Minazio has been intervening on walls and their symbolism, in order to allow the public eye to reinterpret its everyday environment. In fact, the artist's questioning is about helping us to go past our "interior walls" and limits, in order to go "beyond" and take conscience of something else. Mural ephemeral art also gives urban architecture a second life, a makeover, promoting dreams, emotion and the imaginary… Through a symbolic approach of the wall, this artistic project questions each and every one of us on the horizon, the infinite, the cracks and inner locks…. The chosen designation for this project, "Point of view", inscribes itself in the questionings concerning the absence of sight which can concern most anyone, but also brings forward the artist's own outlook on his personal reflection. While the summer and the spur of tourists it induces are getting near, this installation will allow the integration of a poetic and allegoric oeuvre in a city associated with a feeling of peacefulness, dreaming and well-being.


DESCRIPTION
Hyperrealistic installation composed of 35 visuals (4*3meters each).
This installation consists in digital printings on canvas, fixated on aluminum frames.
A preparatory file will be given to " Bâtiments de France ", informing them of the technic details of the installment.
The city of Antibes will then be able to offer to its citizens and tourists, the sight of a modern work of art in an outdoor art gallery to its citizens and tourists… a reinterpretation of walls belonging to the historic past of Antibes, pointing us towards the future. Once the work will be taken down, the walls will recover their primary aspect, in total respect of the use which has been made of them "…
